Scrubs are a necessary 'fashion' accessory for any surgeon -- and wearing them well is important -- because you need to present yourself as a confident physician to your patients and colleagues. Some pointers: make sure the scrubs are not too tight or too big, and please make sure you don't wear them as high waters -- have the pants length cover your socks down to your shoes. I wear sneakers with my scrubs but clogs work too.
Of course, in the operating room you have to wear the hospital-specific scrubs so I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about 'fashion scrubs' but then a good friend asked my opinion the same week I was introduced to FIGS.
An extra bonus for me is the adorable lab coat! It does not have a bulky collar, is slim fit, tapered at the waist and looks great on! If you are in a place where you can't wear your own -- and the one you're given doesn't fit -- then have it altered! You won't regret the $20 on something you wear all the time. But if you have the choice, I love this one.
Overall, I am totally sold on FIGS and even more excited to support their Threads for Threads mission! I will be wearing mine for procedures this week!
