Down Under: Part 3

Down Under: Part 3

Planning the vacation part of this work trip to Sydney was so much fun! Sydney is such a gorgeous city with so much to see and do that it was no problem whatsoever to pack a few days of sightseeing before and after the conference.

To start, we stayed in this amazing Cumquat Tree House Air bnb. It was a little outside of the business district of Sydney but in such a great little neighborhood, less than 10 minutes to the Harbor by uber, and so, so cute. The view of the city was absolutely gorgeous and I would stay there again for sure.

Day 1: unpack, settle in & explore your neighborhood, For us this is the adorable area of Annandale which has the cutest coffee shops, cafes, beautiful old architecture and walkable streets. Loved it!

Day 2: take the Ferry to Manly beach! Shop for Aboriginal art, walk to strip to the beach, enjoy a view of the sand and surfers while munching on fresh fish and shrimp at the Pantry and have a doughnut or gelato before taking the ferry back to Sydney!

Day 3: Climb the Sydney Harbor Bridge (totally worth it!) and treat yourself to a nice dinner at Zahli. Try the mixed grill, eggplant & yogurt, and samki harra.

Day 4: Walk around the Rocks, have lunch or a glass of wine at the Glenmore rooftop pub, and watch the sun set overlooking the iconic bridge and opera house from the Museum of Contemporary Art.
