Super excited to feature the innovative fashion design of one of my fellow MD-fashionistas, Viki Hsu. Like many of you who follow Moda MD, Viki is a pediatric ophthalmologist and momma of two, who works hard to balance her career, family and keep a sense of fashion about her. When she went back to work after her second baby she found that nothing worked well for nursing and looked professional -- and thus her Isaac & Izzy nursing dress was born (order here).
When I met Viki online I knew she'd be a perfect feature for Moda -- a strong career woman sticking by her fashion sense enough to MAKE the dress she needed -- but since I am not nursing, I did not expect to love this dress so much! While this is clearly a great nursing dress, it is also just a fantastic dress which happens to have side zippers. It fit me perfectly without alteration. I am wearing a size 0 and it runs true to size but if you tend to have a larger rib cage size up. I wore this dress to work and everyone wanted one (buy away!) The dress is very affordable ($65) and very well made. The fabric is thick but not heavy and the dress is lined -- and there are pockets! Thank you for the pockets! The silhouette is great on just about every figure too. I paired the dress with almost nude pink accessories -- the flats are Aquazzura on sale at the Outnet (and Net-a-porter has a similar heeled pair).
The bag is vintage Valentino and I love it -- but try this one for a similar floral motif. With the blazer, I needed a little height so a wore an old pair of Jimmy Choo Abel's in blush (similar here, these last forever with good care and I wear mine all the time). The blazer is Elizabeth & James, not new but you can find it online, or try this super cute and affordable one from Forever 21. You will wear a light pink blazer way more than you think you will -- I promise!
