I've blogged before on this pretty Alexander Wang dress (last season, similar here) but if your life is as full as mine (which I presume is true if you follow Moda) there are many days where you have a work event before/after a non-work event. And doing a full change in the car isn't always the *most* fun. So I wanted to share an idea for making a summer frock work for a (casual) work event too. I added this longer Rag & Bone Ronin blazer (of course I scored this from the LA sample sale, it is on sale in tweed, or search on The Real Real or Tradesy) and switched the sandals for Jimmy Choo Anouk pumps (a shoe is very easy to change in the car, warning, these shoes are NOT easy to walk in). To pull of this look I recommend a longer blazer for sure, a short or standard blazer will look silly -- but roll up the sleeves so it isn't too formal and choose accessories that will work with both looks. Speaking of a longer blazer, I love the way my colleague Sahar styled this red one for our symposium day. This trick made my day easier for sure -- even if the doggies bombed the photo shoot!
