I had the pleasure of spending two wonderful weeks in India visiting, learning, teaching and caring for the communities served by the Srikiran Eye Institute, Sankar Nethralaya & LV Prasad. It was a wonderful and humbling experienced. Before I went I had NO idea what to wear. Dress is conservative for women in India -- knees should not be shown and most of the shoulder should also be covered. I brought some western clothes but particularly in the rural areas I stuck out (ok, I stuck out even more) so I dove into Indian fashion like any good ModaMD and dressed like the locals. They loved it and I did too. Here are a collection of pretty Saris and Salwar Kameez' from this lovely country, most wrapped by my Indian Aaji (grandma), Hema.  If only I had brought my bangles...
